What Ducati lists as new on this generation
- Race-pattern gearbox: neutral sits below first gear, with Ducati Neutral Lock to stop accidental shifts into neutral.
- Corner Sidepods: aerodynamic sidepods designed to work at high lean angles, plus larger winglets that Ducati says add 25% more downforce than the previous generation.
- Chassis: the frame and swingarm come from the Panigale V4, with 40% less lateral stiffness in the Front Frame than the previous V4 R.
- Adjustable rear tie-rod: rear ride height is set with an adjustable suspension tie-rod (+/- 5 mm), as on Ducati’s WorldSBK bikes.
- Electronics: Race Brake Control and Engine Brake Control DVO join cornering ABS, traction, slide and wheelie control.
- Numbered series: each bike carries its production number on the steering head.

Before you buy
Licensing is set by each state, so check your state DMV (or equivalent) for the motorcycle license or endorsement you need, and consider a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. A 208 hp homologation superbike is not a beginner’s motorcycle; if you’re new to riding, start with our beginner motorcycle guide. For a used example, check for open recalls by VIN with NHTSA, make sure the title matches the VIN, and ask whether the bike has been used on track or fitted with closed-course parts.
