Yamaha WR450F Overview
The Yamaha WR450F is an off-road motorcycle produced by Yamaha Motor Company. It is currently equipped with a capacity of 450cc (27 cubic inches) liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine.
It was first introduced in 1998 with 400cc, and it shares several design ideas and components shared with the YZ400F motorcycle model.
It’s virtually the same as the racing YZ450F modified slightly to give more controllable power. It comes with a headlight and a lighting coil, a softer suspension and the addition of a kickstand and smaller radiators, and fewer emissions.
The WR in its name refers to the wide-ratio gearbox typical of Enduro and trail bike models. It contrasts with the gearbox with a close-ratio essential to the Motorcross racer.
In the past, the WR has benefited from the advancements made by the YZ Motorcross model, which has increased displacement and advancements like an aluminum frame and an improved suspension.
For the majority of its time, its weight has been relatively constant, ranging between 244 and 249 pounds dry weight.
