2022 US MSRP

BMW Motorrad USA listed the 2022 R 1250 GS Adventure base MSRP at $20,345 (announced 1 July 2021; expected arrival Q4 2021). That figure is historical manufacturer MSRP only — destination, tax, and dealer fees are extra, and BMW Motorrad USA no longer lists this model.

Optional MY2022 style colors from the same USA guide:

  • Ice Grey — standard
  • Style Triple Black (Black Storm Metallic/Black/Achat Grey) — $600
  • Style Rallye (Light White/Racing Blue/Racing Red) — $800
  • Black Storm Metallic 40 Years of GS Edition — $1,800

Select Package was listed at $1,875 and Premium Package at $4,325 (package contents as in the USA MY2022 guide). Confirm any used-bike price with a dealer; do not treat these as 2026 list prices.

Edition 40 Years GS (merged from sibling URL)

BMW Motorrad presented a “40 Years GS” anniversary edition with the updated R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure. The global press kit describes the edition as black-and-yellow styling inspired by the legendary R 100 GS, marking four decades of GS models.

On the US MY2022 Adventure, BMW Motorrad USA listed that look as the optional color Black Storm Metallic 40 Years of GS Edition (+$1,800) — not a separate mechanical model. Engine, chassis, and dimension figures in BMW’s technical data are the same as the standard Adventure; the edition difference is the anniversary style package.

The former stand-alone archive URL /bmw-1250-gs-adventure-edition-40-years-gs/ (post 47) duplicated this page’s specs. After SEO drafts that sibling and adds a 301, this keep URL remains the canonical Adventure page.
