Husqvarna TC 250 Review

Husqvarna has been on the two-stroke journey for quite a while. It’s not slowing from the road anytime soon.

Its most famous two-stroke motocross machine, the Husqvarna TC 250, is back in 2024 with the top components and features an ultra-modern, light performance.

We snatched the most recent pre-mixer to test it for a couple of weeks of track-day flogging. This is what we thought!

Our first break-in in the Husqvarna TC 250 was at the Maxima 927 ride day at Fox Raceway (Pala) in Southern California.

The track was crowded with smokers of all ages, both new and old in addition to, and it was clear that the Husqvarna would always be a rousing hit in the crowd.

Although the Husky will not be “all-new” this year, the majority of bikes from Austria will enter the 2024 season brimming with all the high-end performance you’ve come accustomed to.

The Husqvarna TC 250 returns with minor tweaks for 2024 following many changes in the last year.

A classic two-stroke powerband gets its name through the TC. The engine is powerful and has a powerful pulling from bottom to mid.

Just a quick flutter on the clutch, and your bike gets going. Near the highest revs, however, we noticed some signs of early signal off, and we were then forced to make a short shift on certain tracks to keep in the heart of what the engine can do. The rest was pretty much about any issues from the power unit.

The hydraulic clutch can have moments of ambiguity compared to the clutch operated by cables; however, the smooth, consistent pull was easy to forget.

A chromium-molybdenum-steel frame and airbox made of composite sit on top of WP Xact suspension parts.

The 48mm AER-compatible air fork is back this year and comes with an air-filled chamber to one end (for springs) along with an oil damper on the opposite (for control of up-and-down movement).

We’re always amazed by the ease of adjusting the air fork, which allows you to adjust the “spring” rate and damping precisely.

The oil side also has the convenience of a plastic dial without tools to adjust clicker settings. Nice. Before a motor, you’ll need to locate an appropriate Torx wrench to bleed to remove air pressure (not the spring type). This is only a problem if you don’t own the tool.
